Action Steps for Geneva Woods Pharmacy Patients

Posted February 1, 2024

Geneva Woods Pharmacy will be closing its doors permanently on March 29, 2024. This closure affects a significant number of our patients, most of whom are Medicaid recipients receiving medisets, also referred to as "medset." Many of these patients are also associated with local long-term care facilities and nursing homes.

In light of these changes, we recommending patients transition to Genoa Pharmacy, which is expanding its staff to accommodate the increased demand resulting from Geneva Woods' closure. Genoa Pharmacy is equipped to provide mediset services and is ready to assist our patients in this transition.

Action Steps for Patients

If you are currently receiving "medset" services from Geneva Woods, we recommend taking the following steps to ensure a smooth transition:

  • Contact Genoa Pharmacy at (907) 891-7079 and request the transfer of your prescriptions from Geneva Woods.

  • If you are open to coming off your medisets and prefer to fill your prescriptions at our location, please be aware that ANHC does not currently offer prescription mailing services.

Why Genoa?

We have chosen Genoa Pharmacy as our preferred MedSet location due to their commitment to hiring additional staff to meet the increased demand resulting from Geneva Woods' closure. This ensures that our patients continue to receive the level of care and service they deserve.
