Prenatal Services

Prenatal medical care is an important part of a healthy pregnancy. (“Prenatal” means “before birth.” It’s a word used to refer to pregnancy.)

It is important to:

• Get early prenatal care. Schedule an appointment as soon as you know you are pregnant.

• Get regular prenatal care. Don't miss any of your appointments—they are all important!

All of our obstetrics (OB) doctors are board certified in family medicine, so we are able to care for your family before, during, and after pregnancy.

Our prenatal services include:

• Family planning and pre-pregnancy health

• Pregnancy testing

• Medical and obstetric care through all three trimesters

• Care coordination

• Nutrition counseling

• Lab services

• Labor and delivery care at Providence Hospital

• Postpartum care, including for postpartum depression

• Newborn care and well-child checkups
